Our Stories.

March Monthly Connection

  • Wayfinding and trail activation continues to be a priority in 2025 as we work to get signs in the ground. Be on the lookout for the first signs on trails later this spring!

  • SRT joins North Alabama Tourism and the entire state of Alabama in celebrating the

Year of the Trail. Alabama is home to hundreds (if not thousands!) of outdoor recreation trails and even trails that highlight waterfalls, barbecue, murals, wine, train depots, historic churches, craft beer, and more!

  • SRT is honored to partner with the Rails to Trails Conservancy and host

regional and national influencers—members of the media, elected officials, state and regional agency leaders, potential funders, and critical partners—who can help amplify and move forward the vision of a statewide trail system. The tour will include a series of events over three days, including time on the Richard Martin Trail, creating opportunities for leaders to engage with storytellers at receptions and on the trail. This event will showcase connectivity between developing Anniston, Birmingham and Huntsville systems, amplifying the opportunity and impact of creating a statewide trail network in Alabama as part of the national story of why we celebrate trails.

Launch Tank

The countdown is on for the Singing River Trail Launch Tank! Singing River Trail and Launch present the fourth annual SRT Launch Tank competition. Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas live to hundreds of business leaders, public officials, and the people in the community.
